PRIORITIES TO ACCOMPLISH
GOALS
- Implement a DRUG EDUCATION SYSTEM in our Middle and High Schools that is consistent with the valuable qualities of the DARE and GREAT programs in our Elementary Schools
- Help implement and promote a non-profit, community and spiritually based REHABILITATION facility as a local option for drug abuse recovery and partner with our community partners currently in place
- Work within the constraints of county budget to increase number of road patrol officers to help REDUCE CRIMES and INCREASE RESPONSE TIMES
- Implement PROACTIVE APPROACH to go after drug dealers and repeat offenders
- Increase our community policing efforts to EDUCATE, inform, and ensure positive and mutually cooperative relationships with our citizens
- Sharing information and being more TRANSPARENT with the hard work the Sheriff's Office is conducting
- Enhance the SECURITY and SAFETY of the Detention Center through state-of-the-art scanning device and the utilization of a contraband detection K-9
- Making school safety a priority by strong partnerships with our schools
- Commit to ENCOURAGING and FACILITATIING continuing education/training for employees to ensure a workforce of professionally trained staff
